Rosenblum Law is the largest and highest customer-rated traffic violations law firm in both New York and New Jersey. For the past 12 years we have been dedicated to providing statewide representation for traffic violations and related matters as well as educating the general public about how a traffic ticket can lead to points, high fines, license suspension or revocation, and even jail time. In addition to our websites which are regularly updated with relevant content and news, we also provide ebooks and email newsletters including email alerts during times of heightened traffic ticket enforcement.

In furtherance of our goals of public education and awareness, and to have a means to give back to the community, our firm has endowed a number of undergraduate and graduate scholarships. The scholarship being offered here is Rosenblum Law Traffic Ticket Law Scholarship.

Award Criteria

This Scholarship will be judged based on merit as well as need. Academic achievements as well as any leadership experiences will be taken into account. This will be a one-time award.

Scholarship Requirements & Details:

• Undergraduate applicants must have applied to at least one United States Law School as a full time student. Law student applicants must be currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited United States Law School.
• Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
• A transcript must be attached for application for consideration.
• Applicant must submit an un-opened copy of the official transcript if selected as a finalist.
• This scholarship is a one-time award worth $500 to be awarded per calendar year, starting in 2017. If no applicants are selected, no monies will be awarded.
• Applicants must submit at least two (2) recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.
• Applicants will be required to demonstrate both their merit and their need for this scholarship by way of a cover letter (see below).
• INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
• The finalist who is awarded the Scholarship will be required to complete a 2,500+ word double-spaced essay on the following topic: “For years people have talked about traffic ticket quotas and the belief that an increase in enforcement is more related to a desire to increase revenue to local and state government than public safety (e.g. Vision Zero in places like New York City). What role, if any, do you think that economics has played historically and currently plays in traffic ticket law and enforcement and, in your opinion, do you think it is justified?” The essay must cite at least five (5) cases and ten (10) secondary sources (e.g. journal or website articles, opinion pieces) and include a Citations index.
